The Dream

We almost dream everyday. It keeps us so alive and full of hope. We can fly, run or do humanely impossible plights in our dreams. And we have the privilege to commit mistakes because we can wake up anytime.
What is funny is that if you really think about it, life itself is one such dream.

When i close my eyes to sleep, i let go of my fear of darkness, my fear of being watched and my fear of being vulnerable to whatever is around me. Anyone can do anything around us and we wouldn't know, because we're sleeping. We are vulnerable and have no fear of it. And then, We dream. Life might be just that.
Think about it. The only paradox is that you open your eyes instead of closing them when you let go of your fears.

There is just this very fine line between being afraid and losing that fear. You just have to let go. Fear of death, fear of survival, fear of loneliness, fear of poverty, fear of suffering, fear of loss, fear of anything. It suffocates your existence. It pulls you down to rules, to norms and to a claustrophobic life. When you are not afraid of dying, you are not afraid to make a mistake and trying. I can see better. I can just take a wild adventure into the world without thinking of a map to go with my footsteps.

When one loses that fear, one can choose to be what they want to be. Or better, discover a way to live that is very close to their true self. We are influenced by the things we see that it gently molds us into something else.

I see it almost like a very prominent circle. A baby is born. So raw. So full of life. So untouched and pure. And has no knowledge of fear. Then we grow into people and learn slowly how to lose the fear. And all our life, we either choose to live with those fears and die one day or we could grow older to become younger and get back to losing those fears.

I love that wonderful line written by Lewis Carroll in "Alice in Wonderland".
"It is just a dream, Alice. It can't hurt you. you can wake up when you want to."

Didn't we all learn that song when we were young? "Row your boat, gently down the stream. Merrily, because life is just a dream?" It makes more sense now.

Its just a dream folks. You can wake up when you want to :)
Lose your fears. Spread your wings. Love yourself and the world is yours.

Have a great day. A great dream!

  7. Fire eaters dream of things that are fiery that they consume for a living and while birds nest in their arm pits for warmth they give birth to young ones just like them....
